SAFE USE AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF USER

The product is for adult recreational use only and should never be used in any manner that affects life safety, monitors conditions related to life safety, initiates actions necessary for life safety nor should it be relied upon for any use related to the safety of people, animals or the protection of assets. The firmware and product may be used for lawful purposes only.

The product may provide reliable navigation to the user so that the user remains face down while traveling in water. Remaining face down in the water for any extended period without sighting is highly discouraged.  It is the sole obligation of the user to be vigilant and be aware of their surroundings by frequent observation and avoid any dangerous conditions in order to prevent injury or death. 

Company does not authorize licensee to use the product or firmware in instances, systems, or for application thereof, where the failure of the product or firmware to perform can be expected to result in reduced athletic performance, disorientation, physical injury, loss of property or loss of life.  Any use by licensee shall be entirely at its own risk.

GNSS

The product at times depends upon the Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) deployed and maintained in orbit above Earth by various Governments and could include the GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, Beidou and other regional navigation systems. Maintenance and operation of GNSS satellites is the sole responsibility of the respective government.  Many factors can affect availability and accuracy of GNSS. Company makes no warranty as to the effectiveness or accuracy of GNSS as used in the product. Company is not responsible for any failure or degradation in the product’s performance resulting from unpropitious GNSS signals or other devices that may interfere with or impair GNSS signals.

Charging

The product can be charged by any USB device capable of providing 5vdc filtered and regulated power. Do not connect the product to a charging device if you are not certain that the output is as specified. The product’s navigation circuit is disabled during charging. Never charge the product in or near water. Only charge the product when dry. Do not connect power to the product if the USB charging port is wet. Do not attempt to use the product while charging.

Battery

This product uses a Lithium-Ion battery.

Do not remove or attempt to remove the non-user-replaceable battery. If you have a problem with the battery, please contact Company customer support. Caution: risk of explosion if battery replacement is attempted.

Do not pierce, open or disassemble the battery. If the battery leaks and you come into contact with the leaked fluids, rinse thoroughly with water and seek medical attention immediately. 

Do not use it in a corrosive or chlorinated environment. Do not put, store or leave the product in or near a heat source, in a high temperature location, in strong direct sunlight, in a microwave oven or in any pressurized container. Do not expose it to temperatures over 60°C (140°F). Failure to follow these guidelines may cause the battery to leak acid, become hot, explode or ignite and cause injury and/or damage. 

FOR ENVIRONMENTAL AND SAFETY PURPOSES, THE BATTERY CONTAINED IN THE PRODUCT MUST BE RECYCLED OR DISPOSED OF PROPERLY ACCORDING TO THE LOCAL LAWS AND REGULATIONS AND ALWAYS KEPT SEPARATE FROM HOUSEHOLD WASTE.  ONCOURSE GOGGLES SHOULD BE CHARGED ONLY WITH THE SUPPLIED DC POWER ADAPTOR (CAR CHARGER/BATTERY CABLE), AC ADAPTER (HOME CHARGER) OR USING THE SUPPLIED USB CABLE TO CONNECT TO A COMPUTER FOR BATTERY CHARGING.

Medical Devices

It is the responsibility of the user to consult with their doctor prior to using the product in proximity to medical devices such as pacemakers, insulin pumps, defibrillators, etc.

Export Restrictions

You agree to comply with all applicable export control laws and regulations of the United States and any other applicable jurisdiction, including without limitation, U.S. Export Administration Regulations and U.S. economic sanctions laws and regulations administered by the U.S. Department of Treasury, and agree not to export, re-export, transfer or disclose, directly or indirectly, the product, firmware, or related technical information in violation of such export control laws and regulations.

FCC

This device complies with part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to the following two conditions: (1) This device may not cause harmful interference, and (2) this device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation.

CE

This equipment complies with the requirements for CE marking when used in a personal recreational environment, achieving all the appropriate provisions of the relevant legislation in the EU. 

ROHS

All components used in the manufacture of OnCourse Goggles are ROHS compliant and certified to be free of Lead (Pb): < 1000 ppm, Mercury (Hg): < 100 ppm, Cadmium (Cd): < 100 ppm, Hexavalent Chromium: (Cr VI) < 1000 ppm, Polybrominated Biphenyls (PBB): < 1000 ppm, Polybrominated Diphenyl Ethers (PBDE): < 1000 ppm, Bis(2-Ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP): < 1000 ppm, Benzyl butyl phthalate (BBP): < 1000 ppm, Dibutyl phthalate (DBP): < 1000 ppm and Diisobutyl phthalate (DIBP): < 1000 ppm. No such chemicals are introduced during manufacture.
